Centre Director

Kidventure Early Learning is a privately owned centre and we are looking for a dedicated Centre Manager who can inspire a team to achieve quality outcomes for children and families. The applicant must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have proven leadership skills in the Early Childhood sector.

The Role

As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the centre and provide innovative leadership to a team of experienced and professional educators. You will need to have a solid understanding of the NQF and NQS and have the practical experience of being able to run a high quality centre ensuring all regulatory obligations are being met. In addition to your leadership role, you will be required to be hands on to support and guide educators in all aspects of the industry.

You will be supported by an experienced team in the day-to-day running of the centre and you will receive management and mentor support from the Operations Manager. This support also includes access to management and leadership training to ensure your skills are continually updated, providing excellent career development.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, it is expected that you have:

  • ACECQA approved Bachelor of Teaching/Education in Early Childhood Education or Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet current requirements to be approved as a Certified Supervisor
  • Previous leadership and management experience as a 2IC / Centre Director / Centre Manager
  • Positive Notice – Blue Card for Child Related Employment
  • Child protection training: Identifying and responding to children and young people at risk of harm
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Understanding of the NQF and NQS
  • Understanding of and commitment to competency early childhood practice that is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Effective skills in conflict resolution, team building and implementing performance review processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative policies, standards and requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships with families and staff
  • Extensive experience in the following – Kidsoft, Social Media Marketing, Leadership, Change Management.
